Where can I find the cheapest airline tickets from Chicago to Paris, for October 7th until the 14th??? Also would it be cheaper to go through a travel agency or buy it online??? I need to find a very cheap one, I cant afford a pricy one, I have to go and see my grand mother that is very sick and that I haven’t seen in like 3 years…

Southwest? What a horrible answer, Southwest only flies within the US…

Look on travelzoo.com, they have good deals. I found a really cheap deal to London on American Airlines, $322 from NYC!

I would pay more for an airplane ticket. In fact i will make sure at least to travel with the safest airline instead of the cheapest …think twice before you decide …

Kayak.com – They search all leading sites and for international fares they usually have great prices. Southwest doesn’t go to paris…sorry.

Just go to Hotwire.com or cheaptickets.com
They usually have the best prices. Southwest is cheap, but they don’t fly to Paris!

I would check through both online and travel agencies. Ticket prices vary so much, it’s hard to say who has the leg up anymore. I would start at websites like igougo.com, travelzoo.com, and booking buddy. These sites have search engines that look at multiple airfare websites so you can better compare the prices of all of them. Sites that I’ve found helpful are sites like rightflight.org, which has done some research on which sites are the cheapest. They also have a huge list of international travel websites (60+), which could be very helpeful in searching out which of those has the cheapest tickets. My favorite sites overall are priceline, and hotwire. For international travel though, I’d suggest looking at bookairlinetickets.com, flyabroadcheap.com, and airfares.com. Those are three that I pulled from the site that they say are the cheapest. Might be worth checking out! Hope this helps!

Airline pricing changes constanly. It’s like trying to hit a moving target. The suggestions to search all the sites above is good advice. There is a site now that searches all of them for you so you don’t have to have the name of the right site at the right time that has the best price.
Have good trip and I hope you’re grandmother gets better.

Probably not cheaper to go through a travel agent, because they add a booking fee, and they do NOT search as many sources as you can online to get the best ticket.

Okay, I checked my (extensive) bag o’ tricks for you, and see $787 total your dates on United for nonstop flights. The trick is to book it from their partner Lufthansa, who “codeshare” or sell tickets on this flight, in this case for less than United is selling them for their own flight (this happens sometimes with codeshares–it’s good for the purchaser, if you know to look for it!). You can book this one from Lufthansa.com.

Hotwire actually has one for $772, but does not reveal the flight times, airline, or if it’s non-stop or connecting, until after purchased. In this case, I think it’s better to spend $15 and deal direct with the nonstop airline.
