Hi, im thinking of going to greece this summer in july, is it usually cheaper to buy from now and do the prices change if i were to wait till like March/April? Does anyone buy airline tickets this far in advance?

   Yes, it is ussally cheaper and you have better seats. I always buy in advance.

   yes because the less seats in the airplane there is the more expensive the ticket is

   In general, the sooner you buy seats, the better. There are several different priced seats available on each plane. Buy early for the best availability at the best price. Once the lowest priced seats are sold, you’ll have to pay for the next lowest price until those are gone… and so on.

   There are occasional sales or price adjustments, but those aren’t very common and you can’t count on being able to get those. You’re playing it safe if you buy early.

   Airline ticket prices start to change when you get within 30 days of the flight, other things being equal. The other things equal means that all ticket prices for the airline do not go up or they do not start to charge for or add on fuel supplements.

   The advantage to booking early is the flights you want or the best flights are not sold out. If there are not many flights going where you want to go, or if there are limited direct flights, vs those with 2 or 3 connections the you should book early. Sometimes you may want to avoid certain airports, like Heathrow in London which can be a real pain. We flew to Barcelona, to Ghana, to England and to Chile and we purchased our tickets as soon as we could so we could get the best flights and connections.

   buy them NOW !!! “A lot cheaper”, but you should go to a travel agency, you’d be surprised !
